Sales Area Manager - Chemicals

About the Job Sell a variety of chemicals to be used in different industries and in applied analytical, pharmaceutical & Cosmetics chemicals, Food & Beverage Additives and Industrial Chemicals. Service existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors. Arrange a schedule of visits to major potential buyers by contacting people and making appointments Visit clients to demonstrate use of products, show samples and take orders. Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandizing techniques. Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analysis. Forecast sales to enable operations planning, introduce product innovations and maintain active memberships. Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports, and making recommendations to management. Develop and grow the commercial relationships of assigned leading industrial customers while prospecting for new accounts to increase market penetration. Manage sales pipeline to drive new business opportunities to commercial success. Develop and update knowledge of their own products and the products of their competitors. Speak with other sales and marketing personnel in their company to determine the best methods of promoting products. Establish customers' needs and explain and demonstrate products to them, which may involve providing technical descriptions of products and how they may be used. Quote and negotiate prices and credit terms Prepare contracts and record orders Report to employers on sales and provide feedback about the marketing of new or established products. Carry out formal presentations of products using videos and other training aids, attend promotional markets and organize product displays. Work on telemarketing campaigns Plan and work towards meeting sales targets and budgets Use e-business technology.
