Technical Vocational Education

• Overall management of the Technical Vocational Education Training and Management &Professional Skills programs.• Implementing and monitoring quality measures and standards across all Technical Vocational Education Training and Management &Professional program elements.• With the support of Quality & Assessment Manager and instructors, designing, developing and delivering curricula, lesson plans and assessments for all programs.• Selecting, developing and managing instructors and implementing quality improvement measures.• Supporting Senior Program Manager, Monitoring and Evaluation Manager and Marketing, Communications and Policy Manager in leading on research and advocacy framework development in all aspects of Technical vocational Education Training provisionAccordingly, the TVET Manager will be expected to:• Introduce new demand driven vocational, management and professional training programs.• Participate in dialogue, needs assessment, and efficacy review with the industry and adapt programs to market needs.• Work with the Quality & Assessment Manager to assure that courses are properly accredited through appropriate government bodies and certifying entities.• Work closely with all Aswan Skills Development Programme partners, including relevant government ministries, to ensure that courses are aligned with national Technical vocational Education Training strategies• Ensure workshops at the Continuing Education Centre, Ministry of Manpower or other partners are adequately equipped• Supervise the maintenance of training equipment and workshop spaces for Ministry of Manpower.• Provide input into the acquisition of teaching and learning materials such as textbooks• Provide feedback to the Quality & Assessment Manager on student performance• Administer the evaluation of instructors• Work collaboratively with the Aswan Skills Development Programme Canadian Technical Partner on all relevant elements of the Technical vocational Education Training & Monitoring and Evaluation skills program, as well as manage other partners such as the IFC, Cisco, and Microsoft.• Work closely with the Ministry of Manpower, the Ministry of Education, the private sector and industry, the Canadian Technical Partner, as well as other local partners to deliver on programmatic goals and outcomes.• Help collect relevant academic data and share this with the Aswan Skills Development Programme Senior Manager and Quality & Assessment Manager• Assist with the monitoring and updating of all information relating to academic performance, and reporting information to the Aswan Skills Development Programme, Monitoring and Evaluation team, Quality & Assessment Manager, and Program Senior Manager.• Owns student recruitment and selection and works collaboratively with other Centre of Excellence departments towards achieving optimum student enrolment.• Other duties and related special projects as assigned
