You are in a strategic support role but, You also play a strategic management role. You are expected to know exactly what the executive is thinking and why. You present a window to the executive’s office. You are a business partner, you understand the politics of a situation, and you understand how business functions, as a whole: replace executive in meetings, taking insights of meetings, manage emails and calls, market research, data analysis, business planning, financial planning and reporting daily operations plan, control and oversight. Your job is to help the executive do the job better, You are doing lots of other things that are not necessarily in service of the executive. You are managing the personal life of the executive, You are there to make a difference, Your role is to put out fires, fill the gaps, anticipate the executive’s needs, and exercise judgment based on those needs.
