Research and Product Development Officer

Regularly monitor national, regional and international trends in microfinance best practices as these pertain to innovation, alternative delivery channels, financial inclusion, poverty reduction, gender outreach, product development, client protection, etc. Take initiative in communicating the value of select ideas above to FMF’s senior management and other relevant stakeholders. Within the framework for Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL), conduct various research studies (competitor analysis, client satisfaction survey, quality of life study, client exit survey, etc) with the aim to better understand the following: The micro-finance market in Egypt The clients’ needs, attitudes and behaviors How FMF can better meet the clients’ needs How it can more effectively contribute to the positive changes in the clients’ quality of life Act as the focal point for supporting the data gathering activities into the MEL Database (MELD) across FMF’s departments and branches, manage the quality of MELD data, and continually seek insights from the data to improve organizational decision-making. Using insights from the data, identify market segments and streamline the current product mix to align with the needs and specifics of each segment Regularly monitor socio-demographic and poverty-related indicators and report on the social performance progress to the FMF’s management team, outlining the future steps required to achieve FMF’s double-bottom line. Coordinate marketing, branding, and client awareness activities, especially as these relate to new products, services, and channels Seek and apply for relevant grants and funding to finance the projects
