Creating building drawings (DD) , construction drawings and highly detailed drawings (shop drawing) both by hand and by using specialist computer-aided design (CAD) applications Review architectural or engineering plans, specifications and contract documents to ensure compliance with government codes, laws and regulations. Responsible for engineering Change Request / Design Variations Also act as consultants and visit regularly sites to check progress and inspect work Study & discuss structural designs and ascertain load, power and structural requirements Responsible for engineering coordination – Civil – Architectural – MEP working closely with a team of other professionals such as building service engineers, construction managers, quantity surveyors and architectural technologists applying for planning permission and advice from governmental new build
