General Manager

• Participates in formulating and administering company policies, directing and coordinating alldivisional department activities to develop and implement long-range goals and objectives tomeet business and profitability growth objectives.• Reviews analyses of activities, costs, operations and forecast data to determine department ordivision progress toward stated goals and objectives.• Confers with the chief administrative officer and other administrative personnel to reviewachievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting from current statusand conditions.• Develops, reviews, updates and implements business strategic planning, including sales,financial performance and new product development.• Oversees manufacturing and materials departments to review production and operating reportsand resolve operational, manufacturing and facility problems to ensure minimum costs andprevent operational delays and to meet future growth.• Oversees key projects, processes and performance reports, data and analysis.• Reviews and supports engineering and sales to oversee design concepts with fundamental ornew technology used for new or existing products or improvement to provide cost reduction,safety, customer requirements and market growth.• Reviews operations and plans to meet requirements for sales planning and to ascertainmanufacturing or outsourcing requirements to develop new markets.• Reviews and approves preparation of accounting analysis for budgetary planning andimplementation, production efficiency, financial reporting, budgetary planning and submittal forcapital expenditures.• Increases management's effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching,counseling, and disciplining managers; communicating values, strategies, and objectives;assigning accountabilities; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; developingincentives; developing a climate for offering information and opinions; providing educationalopportunities.• Develops strategic plan by studying technological and financial opportunities; presentingassumptions; recommending objectives.• Accomplishes subsidiary objectives by establishing plans, budgets, and results measurements;allocating resources; reviewing progress; making mid-course corrections.• Coordinates efforts by establishing procurement, production, marketing, field, and technicalservices policies and practices; coordinating actions with corporate staff.• Builds company image by collaborating with customers, government, community organizations,and employees; enforcing ethical business practices.• Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewingprofessional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-artpractices; participating in professional societies.• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
