Asset and Maintenance Manager The Asset and Maintenance Manager is responsible for the leadership, direction and management of the Asset and Maintenance department staff, including the training and development to enhance staff skill, knowledge and competencies together with the provision of asset and maintenance policies and procedures in relation to the underground and above ground assets which will ensure compliance with the requirements of the O&M Contract. The purpose of asset maintenance is to increase assets longevity and attain the highest possible performance efficiencies by adaptation best in class asset and maintenance practices and identifying latest technology to optimize performance and proactively detect inefficiencies and deterioration in asset performance. The asset and maintenance manager shall provide the skills , knowledge and experience to enhance current asset maintenance practices which are aligned to world class maintenance procedures for above and below ground infrastructure, plant and equipment. The asset and maintenance manager shall also identify latest technological advancements which would be beneficial, cost effective and increase the asset performance and availability. The provision of training and development of maintenance staff in the use of latest monitoring and detection technology coupled with modern maintenance practices will deliver a skilled multi functional competent maintenance workforce which will provide a world class service provision. The Asset and Maintenance Manager is a direct line reportee to the Operations Director and a member of the senior management team. Key functions of the Asset and Maintenance Manager are to: Assist the Operations Director, in delivering the services as required by the O&M Contract Provide technical support to the Operational Manager, QHSSES Manager and Operations Director. Develop and forecast annual financial budgets, schedule expenditures, analyzing variances; initiating corrective action; Develop and implement asset maintenance Policy, Strategy, and annual, five and ten year asset management plans; Develop procedures to ensure integrity, safety, and performance of the asset base are maintained over the short, medium and long-term to achieve compliance, customer satisfaction and excellent service. Develop and implement Asset Management (AM) and O&M Management Plans for asset management and maintenance of the asset base to balance and negate risk to customer and functional sites; Ensure Asset and Maintenance operational activities are in compliance with the legal, regulatory requirements and meet the contractual obligations required by the O&M Contract; Develop spares inventory strategies and ensure that all critical spares are in stock with the objective of avoiding any downtime or shutdown. Manage effectively the department to ensure safe, compliant and efficient maintenance of the asset base to achieve best in class Asset Maintenance; Develop contingencies for reasonably foreseeable risk and potential unplanned events and incidents including Red Tide are identified and contingencies developed, trained and implemented Establishment of best in class asset management capabilities including , Asset Management System, Asset Policy and Asset Strategy all aligned to ISO 55001; Principal responsibilities of the Asset and Maintenance Manager: Develop, enhance and implement Asset Maintenance techniques and maintenance strategies to optimise the repair, refurbishment, and cost effective replacement activities. Support in accreditation for ISO55001 and thereafter in sustaining the accreditation. Management of the maintenance resources , tools and equipment to ensure safe, compliant and efficient maintenance of asset base to increase the longevity of assets and achieve world class asset management maintenance provision; Manage asset maintenance spares and associated budget for critical, metered and other asset utilizing the stock and finance capabilities of the business management IFS World CMMS. Preparation, review and issuance of annual asset, maintenance and capital Investment budgets Establish dedicated and specific maintenance processes and procedures to complemen
