This position works with others in the Company to develop and/or maintain software residing in the environment. Possesses high level of competence in systems analysis, rapid application development methodologies, multiple programming languages including Java, extensive knowledge of advanced browser based development techniques, of scripting languages, knowledge of database software, and operating system software. RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides support for maintaining integrity of application software throughout the networked computers used for all aspects of the business. Provides technical support to ensure problems are resolved in an expedient manner. Provide analysis, designs and programming of new software development using all software tools available. Participates in the review of existing standards and procedures. Participates in the establishment and maintenance of security standards. Coordinates with others the systems and programs to be implemented in the many environments including Development, QA, and Production. Keeps management fully informed of all activities and problems. Provides continual improvements to ensure alignment with best and industry leading practices. Provides on-going technical support to ensure problems are resolved in an expedient manner. Assists in the diagnosis of system failures and aids in recovery. Participate in the development of operational systems for monitoring productivity. Continue to increase knowledge of computer-based systems. Keeps abreast of company goals, methods, and procedures and of current developments in technology and available vendor/partner-supplied products. Other duties as assigned.
