Data Entry Officer

Ensure collation and entry of all data identified by project managers for collection (e.g. morbidity, mortality, surveillance of diseases of epidemics, nutrition, psychological and women’s health, etc) into the appropriate data management system while ensuring quality of data Performing data entry of all epidemiological information into select databases program and creating appropriate reports, providing data for project development purposes. Ensure, promote and maintain confidentiality regarding all information registered Know and ensure proper use of software used for recording (i.e. Epi Info, etc.). Ensure accuracy of the medical data entered into the mission’s database on a regular basis, according to MSF protocols and carry out regular back-ups. Provide regular statistical reports for the medical team as well as informing the superior of any missing information, major changes or big differences in data and assisting in the compilation and preparation of regular reports and providing detailed information to medical team (weekly, monthly, according to patient treatment requirements). ENSURE APPROPRIATE REFERRAL FOR URGENT OR EMERGENCY CASES Identify emergency cases Follow the procedure for urgent or emergency cases on call and in the clinics Inform the manager of any patient with an obviously serious medical or Mental Health disorder. RECORD AND REPORT Keep record of daily attendance, exits (cured, defaulter, death or transfer), and collaborate with the outreach team in their tracing of defaulters to ensure they come back Report daily to the hierarchical superior about daily/weekly admissions, defaulters or in case of difficulty.
